Here we go on our adventure for the next 11 months 😳😬🤗
We’re starting this wild ride in Budapest and we arrived on Tuesday afternoon. Everything went amazingly well on 3 flights. The kids slept, we slept, everything was on time or early and the car was waiting for us as advertised at Budapest airport.
When we got to the Airbnb, unfortunately our key wasn’t where it was supposed to be, so we had to wait about 30 minutes for someone to bring it to us. Just so happened to be a pub next door to our place, so *sigh* we were forced to try out some local beers and fresh lemonade while we waited 🍻
Our first 2 days here have kind of been a blur while trying to catch up on sleep. I had to wake everyone up at 11:30am the last 2 days and the kids (and the adults by default…) were wide awake from 11:30pm to 3am last night, tossing and turning and requesting snacks and sandwiches. We have managed to get in a good bit of wandering though from noon until about 8pm.

Will hopefully get back into a normal routine tomorrow and will attempt public transit to see more of this gorgeous city! Budapest is setting the bar high for this trip for sure.
